Step-by-Step Upload Instructions for FrontPage Explorer:
- Connect to the Internet using your local ISP.
- Open FrontPage Explorer. Open your FrontPage web site.
- From the "FILE" menu, select "Publish FrontPage Web".
- Click on "More Webs". Enter your web site URL (ie. www.your_site.com).
- Click on "List Webs". Select "Root Web" and click "OK".
- Enter the "Name" and "Password" received when your web site
was set up.
- Always remember to "save" your HTML document before uploading
it.
- Also, you must "Refresh" or "Reload" your browser in order to
view changes made to your pages!
Troubleshooting Tips
If the "FTP Wizard" comes up when you try to Publish, the problem
could be caused by one of the following:
A: You did not have an "active" Internet connection when you tried
to publish. In this case, quit FrontPage Explorer, connect to
the Internet, launch FrontPage Explorer, and then Publish.
B: Your web site URL has not propagated and you are reaching the
wrong server.
